As is the moon, we are for the moment, but fallen stars. Our forms a pale glimmer of the vast, far-reaching light that we possess within. And so our task begins: to remember, to access, and to shine this light that can turn the tides of the cosmos, if we so will it ~ Veronique Redican

Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?

Compassioning your way to Freedom

Now that you’ve got that song in your head…

Know that you are not your situation, your reaction to a situation, or other people’s reactions to the situation. Oh and by the way, other people aren’t their reactions either, no matter how convincing a performance they may be giving!

What’s the real source of your reaction? If you are having a strong reaction, question why it is so strong and if the situation is really causing it. A reaction is just that, an action in response to an action.

Our minds like to make things easy by for us by having preset responses ready and available to us. They automatically “kick in” when old familiar situations happen. Our mind sifts through our history and finds the response we use most often in that situation and then activates it. This is great, if that response supports us.

The antidote to all pain: who you are!
Don’t Hide in the Shadow of your Reaction: Tap into the Real You

Develop a new Response: Our minds like to have a plan in place.
Think of how you normally respond to certain challenging situations. Is your heart racing? Is your body pumped with adrenaline, are you primed for fight or flight?
Now go beyond this reaction, sink into that space within you that is calm, clear, knowing, and full of grace.

Find that space within you that trusts you don’t need a preset reaction, but can confidently handle each moment as it comes

Remember there is room for your reaction, any reaction you may have.
And there is room to choose to sink beyond that reaction to the freedom that you are!
